The Germans are rushing ’ enforcements to the Balkans in readiness for an Allied invasion, says the German Overseas News Agency. “Arms and ammunition are rolling .nto the Balkans day and night along new roads,” it continues. “A great south-eastern defence wall is being built up. The approaches to Salonika are bristling with fortifications.” GERMAN CLAIM CAPTURE OF DODECANESE ISLANDS (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) (Received This Day, 10.10 a.m.) LONDON, October 24. A German communique claims that German troops, who had been taken prisoner by the British, escaped and, reinforced by the Luftwaffe, seized Levita Island, in the Dodecanese Group. On Friday, the communique states, Stampalia Island was also seized.
