END OF HITLER
ADVOCATED IN LEAFLETS CIRCULATED IN GERMANY ADMISSION BY OFFICIAL BROADCASTER (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 10.10 a.m.) LONDON, October 24. ■ Leaflets have been circulated in Germany calling for the overthrow of Hitler. This was admitted by Hans Fritsche, Political Director of German broadcasts, when he warned listeners against “mysterious plans for the overthrow of the Hitler regime and the setting up of a military dictatorship on the Badoglio model.” The leaflets purport to be signed by Governor-General Franck, Reich Commissioner Terboven, Gauleiter Eric Koche and Navy leaders. Fritsche said: “Other leaflets have been signed by ‘the Association of the Bombed-Out”— the voice of the complaints of air raid victims. These contain complaints about the privations they suffer and their billets.”
