ANTI=MOSQUITO CREAM

A PRACTICAL DEMONSTRATION A General put his hand into a netcovered frame containing mosquitoes, and allowed them to bite’him. He then smeared a little anti-mosquito cream on his other hand, and offeree! that hand to the mosquitoes. They declined to bite. It was a practical demonstration to prove the value of the new "vanishing” anti-mosquito cream which is being issued to troops on the Burmese Front. The General now intends to try '• on his subordinate commanders. Similar tests will then be made on the troops to give them confidence in its use. Mosquitoes used for this demonstration are specially hatched for the purpose, and are free from malarial infection, so no harm results from the bites beyond a temporary itching.
