HUMANE OFFER
SOUTH AFRICA SENDING FOOD TO INDIA. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) NEW DELHI. October 21. The South African Prime Minister, General Smuts, on behalf of the Union Government, offered India substantial quantities of food, including grains and milk powder. The Indian Government expressed appreciation of the humane offer, and immediately called on the Indian High Commissioners in South Africa to arrange for transport of the foodstuffs.
