Savage Club Meeting.

The Masterton Savage Club brought the current season’s activities to a close last night when club business matters wore discussed. The annual meeting will be held in January. Boy Scout Rally. At a meeting of the Eketahuna Boy Scouts the District Commissioner, Mr Higginson, said that he had been approached by the secretary of the St. Matthew’s '(Masterton) troop in reference to the Eketahuna troop taking part in a district rally in connection with Youth Week about the middle of November. It was resolved that, though the committee agreed with the proposal and would like to assist, the difficulties experienced in the way of transport rendered it impossible to send a team to Masterton on the date suggested.
