IHURAUA
S/SGT. MCDONALD GUEST AT LARGE GATHERING (“Times-Age” Special.) There was a large attendance, of settlers from the Alfredton, Mauriceville and surrounding districts in the Ihuraua Hall last night, when Staff Ser-o-eant lan McDonald was entertained. “ On behalf of those present, Mr T. Dunn wished the guest of honour every success in the future, and paid tribute to his splendid personal qualities. He also welcomed back Observer-Sergeant Theed. S./Sgt. McoDnald replied. Mrs McDonald and Jean McDonald were presented with sprays by Josephine Judd The music for the dancing was played by Messrs Rowden and K Marenzi, and the M'sC. were Messrs W. Heckler and Alan McDonald.
Supper was served by a ladies’ committee.
