SITTING IN MASTERTON TODAY. ' The fortnightly sitting of the Masterton Magistrate’s Court was held today before Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M. Charged with having permitted stock to wander in the borough, Olga Watson was fined 10s and £1 Is 6d costs; John O’Dowd was fined 10s and 10s 6d costs and Robert W. Henson was fined 5s and £1 Is 6d costs. Ben Archer was fined 15s and 10s costs for operating a motor vehicle without a warrant of fitness and George A. Sunderland was fined £1 and lbs costs for having driven a motor vehicle without a current driver’s licence. Judgment for plaintiff by default was given in the following undefended civil claim: Masterton Borough Council V. Lionel Verne Welch, claim £25 8s 3d, costs £4 Is 6d.
