JERSEY BULLS
SALE AT CARTERTON YESTERDAY TOP PRICE FIFTY GUINEAS. TWO CLASSES JUDGED. Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report having held at the Carterton Showgrounds yesterday the eighth annua], show and. sale on behalf of the Wairarapa Jersey Cattle Club. Fortynine bulls were catalogued, and these comprised 2-ycar and 1-year bulls. The demand was not particularly brisk, 50 gns. being the top price for a. particularly good yearling bred and offered on behalf of Mr C. W. Jensen, Carierton, and sold to Mr E. C. Wadham, of Carterton. Mr J. Jameson, of Masterton, secured the second highest price for a well-bred two-year-old bull, which made 42gns. Mr C. Jamieson, of Dalefield, had a very successful sale, all his bulls making good values. Prior to the sale a show was held of two classes, yearlings and 2-year bulls, Mr O. A.
