HEALTH STAMPS

SALES AT HIGH LEVEL. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Total sales of health stamps throughout the Dominion from October 1 to October 8, the first week of their currency, amounted to £5,799, which is over £l.BOO more than in the first week of last year’s campaign. Sales in the main centres during that week were: —Auckland. £1,369 7s 9d; Dunedin, £1,178 7s 2d; Christchurch, £938 10s 9d; Wellington, £834 15s lid. Invercargill, Timaru, Wanganui and Blenheim all passed the £2OO mark. The start made augurs well for all the stamps being disposed of. Six million of each issue have been printed, which would mean £30,000 for health camps. MASTERTON SALES TOTAL TO DATE £lO9 Health stamp sales at the Masterton Post Office from October 1 to October 20 amounted to £lO9 10s. Last year, the sales for the whole month were only £l9 9s 6d. The demand during the past few days has eased somewhat.
