GREYTOWN
OBITUARY MR JOHN WAGHORN (“Times-Age”, Special.) The death has occurred at the age of 67 of Mr John Waghorn, a wellknown resident of the Te Kuiti district. Born at Greytown, he spent his youthful years in the Wairarapa. He married Miss Florence Smith, daughter of the late Mr G. F. Smith, of Matarawa, and later took up farming at “Wharehanga,” Kopaki, where he lived up to the date of his death. The late Mr Waghorn was president of the Kopaki Rod and Gun Club and the KopakiMangapehi Golf Club, a director of the Kopaki Saleyards Co. for many years, and was also a member of the Druids Lodge since the age of 15. The late Mr Waghorn was highly respected for his kindly and unassuming manner by all with whom he came in contact. He is survived by a widow and two sons. TOWN HALL “REAP THE WILD WIND.” The excellent programme tomorrow night .will be headed by the outstanding drama, “Reap the Wild Wind,” featuring Ray Milland, Paulette Goddard, Robert Preston and John Wayne.
