INJURED MAN DIES

BOY CHARGED WITH MURDER NORTH AUCKLAND TRAGEDY (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WHANGAREI, October 16. Without regaining consciousness, James Muriwai, aged 22, of Utakura, who was admitted to the Kawakawa Hospital suffering from a fracture of the skull, believed to have been caused by blows from a heavy implement, died last night. This morning a youth, aged 16, appeared in the Kaikohe Court charged with murder and was remanded to appear at Auckland next Friday. An inquest was opened at Kawakawa this morning and after evidence of identification had been given, was adjourned sine die. The youth who appeared before the Court was the same as was yesterday remanded on a charge of attempted murder, the more serious charge this morning being the result of Muriwai’s death.
