WOMEN’S DIVISION

TINUI BRANCH MEETING. WORK AMONG CRIPPLED CHILDREN. (“Times-Age” Special.) A meeting of the Tinui branch of the Women's Division of the Farmers Union was held in the Tinui Hall on Thursday afternoon. There was a representative attendance, and Mrs James Andrew was in the chair. There were two visitors, Mrs K. Groves (Provincial President) and Mrs Kilgour, the welfare officer for the Crippled Children Association.

The meeting passed a resolution of sympathy with the secretary, Mrs Hay, who was absent through illness.

Mrs Kilgour gave an interesting address on the work done amongst the crippled children in the Dominion. As a result, the meeting decided to join the Association as a branch, and several individual members also joined.

’ The President thanked Mrs Kilgour for her address, stating that the branch would like to help Mrs Kilgour in her work in any way she could suggest. The meeting then adjourned, and afternoon tea was served.
