ORDER OF ODD FELLOWS MEETING POSTPONED. (“Times-Age” Special.) The meeting of the Loyal Wairarapa Past Grands of Odd Fellows called for Thursday night next at Masterton has been postponed until Thursday, November 11, 1943. This has been found necessary owing to repairs being carried out at the Odd Fellows’ Hall, Masterton. Personal Items. Mr and Mrs Carl Larsen, who spent a holiday at Tetahi Bay, have returned home. Temporary Major R. N. Campbell, N.Z.M.C., Central Military District, has been posted to the reserve of officers. Dr. Campbell before the war practised his profession in Car ter ton. Mr and Mrs R. E. Barrett have returned to Island Bay, after having spent a holiday at Apiti and with Mr and Mrs R. S. Barrett, Belvedere. OBITUARY MR SYDNEY DRANSFIELD. Mr Sydney Dransfield, of Auckland, whose death at the age of 72 occurred recently, was a member of a wellknown Wellington family. He was the youngest son of the late Mr Joe Dransfield, merchant and shipowner. Mr Dransfield was educated at Wellington College in the early eighties. A dentist by profession, he practised for many years at Carterton and later in Te Kuiti, and in 1914 he moved to Auck-1 land, where he retired from active practice about two years ago. A versatile sportsman, trout fishing was his favourite amusement, and it was only during the last few years that his Christmas vacation did not find him at Rotorua or some other fishing resort. He is survived by his wife. MRS-SARAH BOOTH. The death occurred this u morning after a long illness of Mrs Sarah Booth, wife of Mr Joseph Booth, an old and respected resident of Carterton. Seven weeks ago she was taken seriously ill. Born at Birmingham, England, she came to New Zealand as a child with her parents, the late Mr and Mrs Richard Goode, who resided in Greytown for many years. She had been a resident of Carterton for nearly sixty years, and is survived by her husband, a daughter (Mrs Thompson), and four grandchildren to whom the deep sympathy of a wide circle of friends will be extended. The funeral will take place at Clareville Cemetery on Monday next at 1.30 p.m.
