ENJOYABLE SOCIAL

LABOUR PARTY GATHERING. ELECTION CAMPAIGN WORKERS ENTERTAINED. There was a large attendance at the Y.M.C.A. rooms, Masterton, last night when Labour Party campaign workers in the recent election held an enjoyable social. In an interesting musical programme vocal solos were contributed by Mrs McMinn and Mrs Spicer and Mr Woodley. Mrs Watson played the accompaniments. Mi 1 J. Robertson, Labour candidate for the Masterton seat thanked all those who had assisted in the campaign. Mr G. Hansen, candidate for the Pahiatua seat spoke briefly. Special reference was made to the splendid work of the campaign committee and secretary of the Labour Representation Committee, Mr L. Askew, and it was decided to place on record appreciation of his Sterling services in the interest of the Labour movement. Supper was served by the ladies.
