WOMEN’S INSTITUTE MEETING OF MEMBERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) A meeting of the Tinui Women’s Institute was held in the Tinui Hall, when Mrs 1.. Speedy presided over a good attendance of members. A letter was received from a soldier, Alf. Clarke, thanking the Institute for a parcel received. A talk on New Caledonia was given by Mrs S. O’Hara. Mrs Speedy read a letter from an old member, Mrs Broderick, who had recently settled in the North of Auckland. Afternoon tea was then served by the hostesses, Miss Street and Mrs Miles. The competitions resulted as follows:— Toy: Mrs O’Hara, 1; Mrs Street, 2; Mrs Mac Alister, 3. Best bloom: Mrs Street, 1 and 2; Miss O’Hara. 3.
