COURSING CLUB

RACING SEASON TO OPEN IN NOVEMBER. On November 14 the greyhound racing season will open in Masterton with a programme of flat and hurdle races. Improvements are to be carried out in connection with the provision of better racing. A wider finishing straight should be greatly appreciated. A working bee will be held on Sunday at 1 o’clock, for the purpose of getting the track and appointments in running order. A number of the local dogs will compete at the Dannevirke meeting at the Labour Day week-end, and should win some of the prize money.
