KNOX CHURCH

LADIES' GUILD MEETING. AN ENJOYABLE CONCERT. The monthly meeting of the Knox Ladies' Social Guild was held in the McLaren Room, Mrs G. W. Morice presiding. Mrs H. E. Pither offered to attend to the flowers at the church. The president welcomed Mfs Malmo back to the Guild after her long illness. A concert presented by the Solway College pupils was very much enjoyed, a hearty vote of thanks being passed to Miss Macßae, Miss McDonald and the pupils. The next meeting of the Guild will be held at the residence of Mrs Gaskin, Colombo Road, on November 10. Mrs Walker gave an interesting reading, and Mrs Ball a pianoforte solo. A competition was won by Mrs E. Milne. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mrs Massey and Miss Tankersley. A bring and buy stall for the Chaplain’s Fund was held.
