OBITUARY
MISS AGNES ASHWELL. The death has occurred at Wanganui at tb.e age of 78 years of Miss Agnes Ashwell, a highly respected resident of Masterion for many years. The late Miss Ashwell who was born at Ashwelk Rutlandshire. England, came to New Zealand about 1907 and resided in Masterton for many years with Miss E. Pearce, of Short Street. In company with Miss Pearce. Miss Ashwell visited England again for two years. For a ’ inc she was sub-matron at the St. George School. Havelock North. Miss Ashwell was an industrious knitter for patriotic work and was a valued member of the Church of Epiphany Ladies’ Guild. Her kindly qualities endeared her to her friends. Miss Ashwell is survived by a brother, Mr J. Ashwell, and a sister, Mrs Aston, both residing at. Wanganui. Her ether brothers. Messrs T. and H. Ashwell, reside in England and Australia 'respectively.
