MEETING OF MASTERTON COMMITTEE MOTHERS’ SOCIAL EVENING TO BE HELD. NURSES’ REPORT FOR LAST’ MONTH. The monthly meeting of the Masterton Committee of the Plunket Society was held yesterday afternoon. There were present: Mesdames J. Caselbcrg (in the chair), S. L. P. Free, E. J. Helfer, Kemble Welch, T. C. Richardson, J. M. Coradinc, H. Robinson, R. Miller (Kopuaranga), Sortain Smith, A. 11. Falloon, D. Donald, P. Andrews, J. M. James, J. V. Gordon, fan Bunny, I. Jordan, N. Nathan, A. F. Stewart, ,E. G. Norman, H. R. .Keltic, C. A. Carmine and Miss B. Kummer. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames T. W. Wardell, J. C. Broad. G. Cowie, N. Irwin, J. Jameson, 11. Morrison, R. C. Drummond and H. H. Daniell. Accounts amounting to £55 10s were passed. Final arrangements were made for the mothers’ social evening, to be held on October 19.
The nurses’ report for September stated:—Masterton: Visits to office, adults 418, babies 406. pre-school children 31, total 855; casuals 9. Visits to homes (town), new cases 40, old cases 76, total 116. Pre-school children seen in homes (town), 15; new cases for month (town), 20. Pre-natal section: New cases 2, return visits to clinic 8, visits to homes 2, total 12. Tinui Sub-Branch: Taueru, Blairlogie, Whareama, Tinui, Annedale Road, 2 visits each; Homewood Road, 1; new cases, 2. Visits to new cases, 3; visits to old cases, 25; total, 28. Mauriceville Sub-Branch: Kopuaranga, Mangamahoe, Mauriceville East and West, 2 visits each. New cases, 2; visits to new cases, 6; visits to old cases, 20; total, 26.
