Much interest is centred around the forthcoming visit of the Air Training Corps Mobile Instructional Unit and its attendant Recruiting Drive, which will commence in Masterton on Monday, Octobei- 25.
The Mayor, Mr T. Jordan, has called a public meeting on Monday next, October 18, for the purpose of enlisting the support of citizens in the activities of the A.T.C. and the Masterton Squadron in particular. This meeting which will be held in the Y.M.C.A. rooms will be addressed by Wing Commander G. A. Nicholls, Commandant of the Air .Training Corps who will be pleased to answer any questions that the meeting may desire to put. Parents of youths between the ages of 16 and 20 years are especially welcome as the appeal and recruiting drive will directly 'interest them. Already the Mobile Instructional Unit has caused much interest in Danncvirkc. Te Aute College, and Napier, and it is strongly recommended that none should miss the opportunity afforded them to gain a view of training the Air Force way.
