TUPURUPURU SALE YESTERDAY GOOD PRICES REALISED The twelfth annual sale of the Tupurupuru Shorthorn bulls held yesterday created wide interest, and attracted buyers from all parts of the North Island. Prominent breeders and graziers in the Dominion are now showing their appreciation of Mr D. Buchanan’s enterprise in importing bulls of the best Scotch blood, by supporting this annual sale and paying record prices. The top price paid yesterday was 1371 gns for a roan bull of excellent type by “Klaynor Ballot” (Imp.) from “Patient Diamond 4th” and bought by Messrs Nelson and Son, Tuhua. The next highest price was 135gns paid by Mr N. Amon, of Bulls, for another first class roan bull by “Gladstone Vindictive 2nd” from “Beaulieu Diamond 9th.” A third bull to reach the three figure mark was a light roan by the imported sire “Browndale Bugler” from “Patient Amthyst 29th” and purchased by Mr K. B. Gollan of Waipawa. The top price at last year’s sale was 120gns. A few bulls showed the effects of a long dry autumn and late spring and sold at very reasonable prices. The line of 20 sold under the hammer yesterday averaged 65 ; jgns. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd. and Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., were the joint auctioneers, and particulars of realisations are as follows: —“Gladstone Epsilon 28th.” purchaser W. G.
