SAVAGE CLUB
FLOOR MEMBERS’ KORERO. PROGRAMME OF SONG & STORY. On Saturday night, the Masterton Savage Club floor members held a most successful korero and a large gathering was presided over by Savage S. J. Barber. A good programme of music, song and story was provided and a special feature was the work of the orchestra under Savage C. W. Kerry. During the evening, Big Chief Vin Wilton said a Masterton Savage Club members’ badge was found in Libya and it had been returned to the club. Savage Fred Wright received many congratulations on the fact that his son, who is serving with the R.A.F. in England, had recently been awarded the D.F.C. A most successful evening was enjoyed by members and visitors. A competition for an upholstered footstool was won by Mrs. Nancarrow, of Masterton.
