INVADED BY THE ALLIES ACCORDING TO TURKISH REPORT. LANDINGS IN THE CYCLADES GROUP. (Received This Day, 10.40 a.m.) LONDON. October 8. Allied forces have invaded the Cyclades Islands (between the Dodecanese Islands and the Greek mainland), says an Istanbul report. During the past two years the Germans have converted the Cyclades into air bases to protect Crete and Greece from invasion by the Allies. The harbours of the islands also sheltered packs of U-boats, which the Germans brought overland and assembled at Salonika. .
