GREYTOWN

ST. LUKE’S CHURCH MEETING OF LADIES’ GUILD (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the St Luke s Church Ladies’ Guild was held in the Parish Hall yesterday afternon, when Mrs A. York presided over a good attendance of mefhbers. Sympathy was extended to Mesdames E. Richards, F. Brook, Keedwell and Miss Oates who recently suffered bereavements. The Rev J. C. Abbott spoke on the Young People’s Club he had just organised, and said that he hoped the Guild members would support the club. It was announced that St Luke's Day would be celebrated on Sunday, October 17, when the Rev Isaacson, of Khandallah, would be the preacher. It was announced that the arrangements for the bazaar to be held on November 5, were well in hand. It was decided on the motion of Mrs Shedden that the Guild send a parcel to each husband, son and brother of Guild members who are overseas. The hostesses were Mesdames W. Hay and A. Nichols. TOWN HALL OUTSTANDING COMEDY. At the matinee tomorrow afternoon, and again in the evening, there will be presented at the Town Hall one of the best comedies ever Jorought to the screen, “It Ain’t Hay,” in which Bud Abbott, Lou Costello and Grace MacDonald portray the chief characters.
