The manufacture of synthetic tiros has begun in Canada. Passenger automobile tires made of synthetic rubber imported from the United States are to be released for sale, but only to essential users who are eligible under the regulations to buy now tires. The Rubber Controller states that tests so fai have shown that synthetic tires are not as tough as tires of natural rubber, and that the new synthetic tires must be driven at a .low speed with great care.
