Today's communique from the headquarters of the Yugoslav People's Army says: ‘ln. the Sanjak of Montenegro and Herzegovina, offensive operations are successfully continuing. In Dalmatia the main fighting is taking place in the area of Knin, Kernis and Klis and along the coast. At Zara, a German attack was repulsed, 165 Germans being killed and a great deal of material captured. At Imo'tsko, in the area of Split, 150 Germans were killed in a clash. A German column which tried to break through between Sinj and Knin was repulsed with heavy losses and forced to return to Sinj. In Central Bosnia, a German armed train was derailed by units of the Fifth Division. Near Trazvnik 35 Germans were killed. “On the island of Lussin, the capture of which was announced on Tuesday, partisans captured eight coastal guns, four heavy guns and one tanker with about 19,800 gallons of petrol. “The whole Istrian Peninsula is in revolt and local fighting is taking place everywhere. A German tank column attempting to break through from Trieste to Fiume was repulsed and ten German tanks were destroyed. The partisans also lost tanks.”
