EDEN SEAT
FURTHER AMENDMENT MADE IN COUNT (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, October 7. Owing to the discovery of two small parcels of electoral votes among the licensing votes in the Eden electorate, the position has again changed. With these votes included, the civilian totals for Eden now are: Fortune (N.), 6749; Anderton (L.), 6495; Nixon 597, Wilson 173, Brooks 279; informal, 118; majority for Fortune, 254. It was reported yesterday that the position then reached in the Eden electorate gave Fortune 7106 votes (including 363 service votes) and Anderton 7094 (including 605 service votes). This gave Fortune a majority of 12.
