ON ISSUE FROM OCTOBER 11 APPLICATION FORMS NECESSARY POST OFFICE PREPARING FOR RUSH The attention of 'readers is directed to an important advertisement appearing in this issue regarding the new ration books. These will be on issue at the local Post Office and at the Post Offices at Kopuaranga, Tinui, Castlepoint and Whareama from October 11. The Post Office requests that applicants for ration books should give careful attention to the following points: — A separate application form, duly filled in, must be produced for each person for whom a ration book is required. While it is emphasised that a separate application form is required in respect of each new ration book, the head of the household may fill in the application forms for each member of the household. At Masterton, the new issue of ration books will be available at the postal counter on the ground floor during the hours of 9 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., except Saturdays, when the hours are 9 a.m. to noon. The new ration books should be obtained before the end of the present month.
