ADMIRAL CUNNINGHAM GENERAL EISENHOWER’S MESSAGE ON BEHALF OF NORTH AFRICAN COMMAND (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.15 a.m.) RUGBY, October 5. “Admiral Cunningham goes to his new post with the complete confidence of every airman, soldier and sailor in this entire Allied Command. His departure is a blow for us, but we are proud of him,” is a message by General Eisenhower on Admiral Cunningham’s appointment as First Sea Lord of the Admiralty.
