LOSS ANNOUNCED
FAMOUS GREEK SUBMARINE. SPLENDID RECORD OF WAR SERVICE. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10 a.m.) RUGBY. October 5. The Commander-in-Chief of the Greek Navy announces that the submarine Katsonis has been sunk in Greek waters. The Katsonis has play 4 ed a great part in the fight for her country’s freedom. Operating chiefly in the Aegean and the Adriatic, she scored many notable successes and sunk or damaged many thousands of tons of enemy shipping. Her exploits included entering an enemy-occupied harbour to torpedo transports.
