HEAVY NEW TAX BILL

Bill designed to raise 10.650> dollars, of which more than halt will come from individuals. New income tax rales will bring m 6.610 oY which 3050 millions will be straight tax and the remainder will be enforced Savings, refundable after the war. Corporation taxes will be increased bv 1100 millions, excise by 2530 millions, and gift and estate duties by 400.000.000 dollars. The Associated Press of America says the Bill will put the so-called luxuries of life, spirits, beer, chewinggum, tobacco and travelling on an allout war footing. Ten cent beers will be a thing of the past.
