N.S.W. MINERS
OBJECTION TO DAYLIGHT SAVING LOSS OF PROPER SLEEP ALLEGED (By Telegraph—Brees Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Claiming that daylight saving prevents them getting their proper sleep in hot weather, members of four lodges on the northern coalfields of New South Wales have decided to start work “by the sun” and not “by the clock.” The Prime' Minister (Mr Curtin) warned the miners that daylight saving, which starts at 2 a.m. tomorrow, is the law and must not be defied. Complete disorganisation will result unless the miners attend for work under daylight saving time.
