KIDDIES’ CARNIVAL POSITION OF CANDIDATES (“Times-Age” Special.) In connection with the MauricevilleIhuraua Women’s Division kiddies’ carnival, the secretary reports that the position of the candidates at' the mid-week count of votes was as follows: —Hamish, 11,424 votes; Donald, 8,400; Elmo, 5,760; Graham, 3,200. A substantial increase in the figures is expected by the end of next week. Concert and Dance The Mauriceville-Ihuraua branch of the Women’s Division will hold a concert and dance in the Hastwell Hall on Monday, October 4, commencing at 8.15 p.m. in aid of the comforts for men of the Merchant Navy Fund. The Eketahuna Drama and Glee Club will assist.
