OLD BOYS’ CLUB ANNUAL MEETING. The 17th annual meeting of the Old Boys’ Cricket Club was held in the Y.M.C.A. rooms, Masterton, last evenm The following officers were elected., after the presentation of the annual report and balance-sheet:—Patrons, Messrs G. G. Hancox and F. J. Gam; president. Mr E. Sortain Smith Unelected); vice-presidents, Messrs F. Lx. Maunsell, R. Hatch, A. V. Faulknor and F Groves; club captain, Mr G. Ban, secretary, Mr D. E. McMichael; management committee, president, secretary, club captain, team captain, and Messrs L. Jones and A. P. Smith; delegates to Cricket Association, Messrs D. E. McMichael and L. Jones; selector. Mr D. E. McMichael. . It was decided that the subscriptions remain the same as for last season, and that provisionally one team (senior) be entered in the competitions. Best wishes for their health and safe return were extended to the following members serving in the forces:—O. Hatton, M. Munn, B. Patrick, F. Shearer, L. Clelland, R. O’Callaghan, D. Hibbs, R. Warren, C. Parsonson, T. Lindrum, L. Roach and J. Alexander.

In the annual report reference was made to a successful season’s activities. The seniors again won the Bidwill Cun, and congratulations were extended to the Red Star Club, winners of the other competition, and to the Air Force and College teams for the excellent games provided. Mr K. Miller won the batting average with 42.5, and Mr D. McMichael was joint winner with Mr F. Hoar of the Wairarapa Association's cun for the leading bowling average in the competition. Thanks were extended to all who had assisted the club in any way.
