PATRIOTIC FUNDS
DONATIONS BY STATE DEPARTMENTS. AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The National Patriotic Fund Board has received £19,700 from Government trading departments, comprising: P. and T., Railways Department and Hydro-Electric Branch, £5OOO each; State Fire Office, £2000; National Broadcasting and Commercial Broadcasting, £lOOO each; Mines Department, £500; Native Trust, £2. The board has also received £2OOO from a national organisation which desires to remain anonymous and £5OO each from the Film Exchanges Association and Theatre Managements Ltd. The last two are to be shared by the Wellington and Auckland councils. The rest will be allocated to provincial councils pro rata.
