♦ MEETING OF HOME ASSOCIATION MR H. L. ESAU ELECTED CHAIRMAN A meeting of the Masterton West Home and School Association was held in the West School last night, Mr Jestin presiding over a good attendance, in eluding Mr Farrell (headmaster). Mr V- Welch resigned as a member as he was leaving shortly to reside in the South Island. Mr Jestin, who is being transferred to Feilding, tendered his resignation, which was accepted with regret. Mr H. L. Esau was unanimously elected chairman of the association. Mr Esau referred in eulogistic terms to the work which Mr Jestin had carried out in the interests of the association. Various matters in connection with the activities of the association were discussed, after which at the invitation of Mr Esau the members adjourned to the residence of Mr and Mrs Esau where a tasty supper was provided, for which Mr and Mrs Esau were warmly thanked.
