BOWLING SEASON

MASTERTON CLUB PROSPECTS. NOTES BY "THE SCORER.” Members of the Masterton Bowling Club are taking great interest in the approaching season. With the arrival of the better weather following the election, pilgrimages are now being made daily to examine the green and criticise the new appointments. It is generallj r admitted that the greens have never looked better in the whole forty-five years of their existence. Some difficulty has been met in obtaining new bowling shoes, but no difficulty can dampen a bowler’s ardour. From now till the opening on October 9 bowlers will be busy shining their bowls and cleaning their shoes in anticipation of a successful season.
