BACKWARDS DANCE

4 TO BE HELD AT AMERICAN CLUB. A novelty Backwards Dance will be held at the American Red Cross Club tomorrow night at the usual time, from 8 to 11 o’clock. As each person enters the club he should remark to the hostess at the door, “Gee, I’ve had a lovely evening. Thanks for the good time. Good-bye.” Upon leaving each one should say, “Hello. How are you?” The club will be decorated with colourful signs reading backwards, pictures hanging upside-down, and chairs facing the walls. At intermission time, dessert will be served before the main course in the canteen. One of the feature numbers will be a Cinderella Dance. Each girl will place one of her shoes in the centre of the dance floor. Then each male dancer will select milady’s slipper and attempt fitting it to the various damsels until he is able to match it properly to the Cinderella of‘the dance. To get into the swing of the occasion girls are requested to wear their dresses back to front or inside out. The men are asked to wear their shirts back to front. Everyone is looking forward to this backwards dance and it should provide a lot of fun.

A tea dance will be held at the club on Sunday afternoon from 4 to 7 o’clock.
