The arrival at an undisclosed port of more than 600 Australian and New Zealand Army Forestry troops, homeward bound after three years’ service in the British Isles, is announced by the War Department. The Anzacs will enjoy a vacation of three days in New York City as the guests of the Eastern Defence Command. On Friday the troops will parade up Broadway to the City Hall, escorted by a police battalion. They will be welcomed by the Mayor, Mr La Guardia. Other entertainment includes a special .baseball game, New York Yankees versus Chicago Whitesox.
