SPEEDY ACTION ON NEW POLICY. DESIRED BY MINISTER. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.30 a.m.) RUGBY, September 28. The President of the Board of Education, Mr R. A. Butler, who is visiting various parts of the country to hear views on the Government’s educational proposals, stated at Newcastle that his tour was part of a democratic procedure which wo ild be o f the utmost value in determining the final plan. He added that if the present plans were delayed they would be lost in the welter of demobilisation problems. He welcomed the co-operation of industry, and said industry was beginning to realise that it could not solve its problems without education.
