The Saint Andrew Society’s monthly gathering will be held in the Masonic Hall on Saturday. Guests accompanying members of the society will be admitted. A “shop clay” will be held in the premises lately occupied by the Arts and Crafts in Queen Street on Friday, commencing at 11 a.m., by members from Mangamahoe and Mauriceville West of the Women’s Division of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union, in aid of the fund to provide comforts for the men of the Merchant Navy. In a report of the Wairarapa Interhouse Association’s dance in Masterton on Saturday it was stated in error that the Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss June Askew and Mr J. O’Brien. ( The competition was won by Miss June Olsen and Mr O’Brien.
