EKETAHUNA

ST. CUTHBERT’S CHURCH CONFIRMATION SERVICE. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Right Rev. Bishop H. St. Barbe Holland gave a most inspiring address to the eleven candidates he confirmed in St. Cuthbert’s Church when there was a large congregation. He was assisted by the Vicar, the Rev. J. C. W. Mutter. A social gathering was afterwards held in the Parish Hall. The Bishop was the guest of the Rev. J. C. W. Mutter at the Vicarage during his stay in Eketahuna. ELECTORS THANKED SPEECHES BY CANDIDATES The member for Masterton, Mr G. H. Mackley, wishes to express his regret that owing to the late hour at which the result of the poll for the Masterton electorate was made known, it was impossible to reach Eketahuna much I before midnight. Under the weather conditions prevailing, the electors could not be expected to wait to enable him and the other candidates to express their personal thanks to them. Nevertheless, Mr Mackley and the other candidates spoke to the electors who remained to hear what they had to say and expressed their personal thanks to. the electors of Eketahuna for their support.
