FEATHERSTON
WEDDING WALLACE—HARDIE. (“Times-Age” Special.) Recently at the Featherston Presbyterian Church the marriage took place of Jean Winnifred, daughter of Mr and Mrs T. G. Hardie, of Featherston, and Russell Irwin, son of Mr and Mrs F. Wallace, of Wanganui. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a beautiful frock of white lace over satin. Her veil of tulle was held in place by two white roses, and her bouquet was of white hyacintns, white heather and daffodils. The matron of honour, Mrs Clive Sunkel, a sister of the bride, was attired in a full skirted frock of white georgette embroidered in an all-over pattern in blue with a top-knot of blue flowers. Her bouquet of blue hyacinths and yellow Inglecombe daffodils completed a charming picture. The duties of the best man _ were carried out by Mr Frank Wiggins, of Wanganui. • The guests at the reception were received by the bride’s mother, who wore a checked brown and white tailored costume, and carried a bouquet of yellow spring flowers. She was assisted by the bridegroom’s mother, who was attired .in a black ensemble relieved with touches of white . Her bouquet was of camelias and hyacinths in shades of pink. When Mr and Mrs Wallace left for Auckland and Rotorua, Mrs Wallace was wearing a corn gold hat, and.ji coat over a moss green frock.
