STATEMENT BY ARCHBISHOP OF YORK (Bv Telegraph—-Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 1.20 p.m.) LONDON, September 24. “I am convinced that there is full freedom of worship 'in Russia, and I have every reason to expect it to continue after the war,” said the Archbishop of York in a statement in Moscow. He added: “M. Stalin, being a great statesman, recognises religious power. I have never experienced such huge congregations as in Moscow. There are 40 to 50 churches open and others reopening. All anti-religious propaganda will be discontinued.”
