REVISED AGREEMENT

INTERNATIONAL RELIEF ADMINISTRATION.

(By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) WASHINGTON, September 24. Britain, the United States, China and Russia have approved a revised draft agreement for the administration ,oi United Nations relief and rehabilitation in liberated areas, which the State Secretary, Mr Hull, described as “a first and most important step in international collaboration.” The agreement provides for a council consisting of one member from each of the United and associated nations, and a central committee consisting of one member each of Britain, the United States, China, and Russia. According to the revised draft, the distribution of food and the other rehabilitation work will be undertaken by the international organisation, thus cutting down the present American relief organisation to the role of aiding the American member of the council. . Mr Hull disclosed that the revised draft has been sent to the 29 other United Nations, 10 associated nations, and the French Committee of National Liberation, for their approval. Fie added that the White House suggested that the council should meet early in November in the United States.
