COUNTER SOUGHT

TO NEW ENEMY AERIAL BOMB. OF ARMOUR-PIERCING TYPE. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) LONDON, September 24. British experts are understood to be experimenting in an effort to find a counter to a new type of enemy aerial bomb. This rocket bomb is of an ar-mour-piercing type. It is released from a considerable height and is apparently radio-controlled till it almost reaches its target. One theory is that in addition to a high explosive, the bomb contains a propellent charge which ignites when the bomb is launched. It is suggested that a bomb of this type sank the Italian battleship Roma.
