EKETAHUNA
THE DAIRYING SEASON (“Times-Age” Special.) The dairying season is now in full swing but so far has not been as successful as could have been wished owing to the indifferent season. Many of the factories report a lower milk yield than was the case at the corresponding period last season. Personal. The death occurred in the Masterton Hospital on Tuesday of Mr James Dow Duncan, of Eketahuna, at the age of 55 years. The late Mr Duncan was born in Dunedin and came to Eketahuna ■ about 27 years ago. He had been employed by the Eketahuna County Council for many years as a driver. He took a keen interest in Rugby, and was ■at one time a Bush Rugby representative. He was an enthusiastic deer stalker. He had been ailing for some months past and was admitted to the Masterton Hospital three weeks ago. A wife and grown-up family are left to mourn their loss. Political Address. The policy of the Democratic Labour Party was put before electors at Eketahuna last night by Aircraftman D. A. Thompson. The Mayor, Mr W. Olsen, presided. The candidate was accorded a vote of thanks.
