MAURICEVILLE

WOMEN’S DIVISION HARD UP DANCE. (“Times-Age" Special.) A most enjoyable time was spent in the Mauriceville. Hall on Saturday night when a “hard up” dance was held under the auspices of the Mauriceville East sub-committee of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union, the object being to raise funds for the'“East Baby” in the “Kiddies Carnival.” The latter is being held in aid of the Merchant Marine and Soldiers’ Parcel Fund. A mock court was effectively staged and afforded much amusement. Other competitions and games proved very popular. A novel supper was served bv an energetic ladies’ committee on hard up lines. The music was supplied by Mr Jack West and Mr J. A. Baine officiated as M.C.
