SCOUTS AND CUBS
MO KATOA TROOP. PARADE LAST NIGHT. At the usual Scout parade held last night an excellent programme arranged by Patrol Leader W. Kerslake was carried out. The pioneering test for the second class was passed easily by Scouts T. Camden, S. Cretney and R. Harman. The results of an inter-patrol stret-cher-building competition were: Karoro Patrol, 20 marks; Huia Patrol, 15, and Kiwi Patrol, 10 marks. The Karoro Patrol with a total of 36 marks was proclaimed “top dog” for the night. At the end of the parade an investiture ceremony conducted by A.S.M. E. Pedersen, was held to admit Scout R. Harman into the great brotherhood of Boy Scouts. WOLF CUBS. ACTIVITIES OF PACK. At the weekly parade of the Mo Katoa Cubs there was a very good attendance. The usual Cub work was carried out and many of the boys passed various tests for their first and second stars. The Cubs are looking forward to meeting the Carterton Cub Pack at Carterton next Saturday. The meeting was brought to a close with a hearty “grand howl” led by Senior Sixer K. Camden.
