ESCAPE FROM SPAIN

♦ MEMBERS OF INTERNATIONAL BRIGADE. AFTER YEARS OF CAPTIVITY. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, September 16. Former members of the International Brigade who escaped from a prison camp in the Ebro Mountains in Spain last month have reached British and neutral ports. They eluded Gestapo agents who hunted them across Spain. They had been held in the camp since the Spanish civil war ended in April, 1939. The men expect to be brought to Britain by their own exiled Governments in London or by the British Government and will volunteer for the Allied armies based on Britain.
